About AMET University



Academy of Maritime Education and Training (AMET) is the first deemed to be University in Maritime Education, recognized by the Ministry of Education, Govt. of India under de novo category. AMET is a pioneering University with membership in International Association of Maritime Universities (IAMU),Japan. AMET is ranked fifth among the Maritime Universities of World in PIMET (Performance Indicators in Maritime Education and Training) Ranking of the IAMU. AMET has been accredited with "Grade A (II Cycle)" by National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC).

The Directorate General of Shipping (DGS), Government of India has awarded Grade A1 (Outstanding) through Comprehensive Inspection Programme (CIP) for the past five consecutive years. AMET has so for produced more than 16,000 graduates who are occupying indispensable positions in the shipping & allied industries and service sectors all over the World. Over 4000 students are pursuing various Programmes ranging from Degree to Doctoral programs through seven schools comprising of 16 departments in addition to two intensive research centres and seven specialized laboratories. AMET is equipped with excellent infrastructure and ICT enabled education tools and facilities for teaching, training, research and development, co-curricular and extracurricular activities. AMET has strong International and National collaborations with renowned industries and academia through which the University organizes on-campus placements for students and cadets across all disciplines International Conference on Recent Advances in Physics, Chemical, Civil and Mechanical Engineering focuses on the development of novel materials, their characterization techniques, and the latest trends in manufacturing methods. It showcases the commitment of our institute to motivate research culture among various disciplines in particular material science and manufacturing. This conference encourages researchers,academicians and industrialists present their domain expertise on a common platform. This conference also helps in bridging the gap between academia and industries for overall societal development.
