AMET has the proud privilege of having a close association with A.P. Moller – Maersk for the last 20 years and recruited more than 2500 cadets, and has a distinct avenue in employing the products of AMET to its commercial establishment.
In order to perpetuate the prevailing relationship of more than two decades between Maersk and AMET, an exclusive Centre has been established in the name of “A.P. Moller – Maersk Centre of Excellence” partnering with AMET, which would serve as an exclusive and only one in India of A.P. Moller – Maersk to provide training to the admitted cadets and subsequent placements.

Mr. Niels H. Bruus, Head of Marine Human Resources at Maersk laid the Foundation Stone of its planned ‘A.P. Moller – Maersk – AMET Centre of Excellence’ facility, to support skill development and training needs for Maersk Cadets across job function (deck, electrical and engine) on 24th October 2019. Maersk signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Academy of Maritime Education and Training (AMET) University to jointly operate this facility with an aim to maintain steady channel of Indian seafarers for its operations. The said MoU was signed by Mr. Niels H. Bruus representing Maersk and Dr. J. Ramachandran, Chancellor of the AMET.
