The National Academic Depository (NAD) is an initiative of the Government of India, facilitated by the MHRD. NAD is a national database designed to store academic awards issued by academic institutions and universities in electronic form. It helps validate the authenticity of these awards while ensuring their safe storage and easy retrieval. Maintaining academic awards in a digital depository benefits educational institution, students, and employers by enabling online access and retrieval, eliminate fraudulent practices such as faking or forging certificates and mark sheets, and facilitating validation. NAD is an online, web-based system with 24x7 access for stakeholders.

In line with the Digital India program, AMET has established a NAD cell, registered with NAD DigiLocker, and submitted the details of degrees awarded to students since 2018 on the NAD DigiLocker portal. The Credit Earned by the students are also uploaded in the NAD DigiLocker portal.

The Controller of Examinations serves as the Nodal Officer and is responsible for updating the information on the NAD portal.
