

About Library
Dr VBS Rajan Library (formerly George TR Campbell Library) fully automated through AUTOLIB-ILMS, Web-OPAC, RFID, Barcode and INFED Remote Access with separate block of 2342 sq.m area in two floors, Wi-Fi enabled and with seating capacity of 700 members, air conditioned reading halls and lift facilities.
The Library consists of large collection of books with updated editions in various titles and volumes. The book collections are available in the field of Engineering, Science and Technology and Management including Marine Engineering, Nautical Science, Management Studies, Marine Biotechnology, Naval Architecture and Offshore Engineering, Petroleum Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Food Processing and Technology and Mining Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, Chemistry, English, Career Information and Guidance and General area of studies.

To enrich the library as Knowledge Resource Centre to experience an effective and innovative Maritime Education.

To inspire learning and discovery of Maritime Information Resources through knowledge networking.
Objectives
- To promote knowledge sharing through institutional repositories, open-access journals, and scholarly communication while fostering intellectual curiosity.
- To Support research by providing access to research tools, databases, and Open Educational Resources (OERs), along with expert guidance for students and faculty.
- To Leverage modern technology to implement a cloud-based library management system for seamless integration and efficient resource management.
- To Ensure 24/7 remote access to digital resources and virtual reference services to support learning and research anytime, anywhere.
- To integrate research on Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) with the goals of India’s National Education Policy (NEP), fostering the preservation and promotion of indigenous knowledge. To serve user community by providing right information at the right time.
- To enhance the availability of digital repository of teaching and research materials at any time anywhere to users with Information and Communication Technology.
- To inspire learning and discovery through Maritime Information Resources, by providing a global connectivity to digital networks with learning resources.
