Dr.Rajavel R., M.E., Ph.D., is a Professor and Head of the Department of Marine Engineering at AMET University in Chennai. He earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Bharathidasan University, Trichy, as well as a master's degree in Thermal Engineering and a Doctorate in heat transfer from ANNA University, Chennai. He has over 22 years of teaching and research experience in various Mechanical and Marine Engineering disciplines. He has published 130 technical papers in national and international journals, as well as contributions to conferences. He has guided two doctoral research scholars. He has organised an International conference, a national conference, a faculty development programme, seminars, and workshops that are sponsored by Anna University, Chennai and the DRDO Government of India. He was the principal investigator of a research project sponsored by DST, the Government of India. Apart from this, he holds memberships in various professional bodies like the Indian Society for Heat and Mass Transfer (ISHMT), the Solar Energy Society of India (SESI), and the Institution of Engineers (India) (IEI).
