The prolific professional, has 22 years of sailing experience, in that sailed as Chief Engineer for 11 years. Worked ashore as Technical Superintendent for Three years. He was in the Maritime field for about two and half decades. He earned a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Annamalai University. He completed his Marine Engineering Training from Cochin Shipyard Limited in 1997. He started his career as Trainee Marine Engineer in Foreign going Bulk Carriers. Then he obtained a career growth, obtained Certificate of Competency at various levels, finally as Marine Engineer Class I, became a Chief Engineer, and sailed in Bulk carriers and Containers. To enhance his suitability as a functional head and keep abreast of cutting-edge advancements in marine field, he has undergone more than 12 STCW modular courses under the authority of Director General of Shipping.

After obtaining enormous sailing experience and managing Vessels from Shore, he joined as Professor at AMET University. Having good teaching experience. He was given the Best Teachers Award in 2023. He teaches marine subjects viz., Marine Auxiliary Machineries, Marine Environmental Protection, Safety Emergency Measures and Practices, Risk Management for B.E Marine Engineering. He has successfully guided many students’ projects. The remarkable project is Magneto hydrodynamic Propulsion.

He possesses good soft skills, he can make Quick Acquaintance, Great Team Player with great amount of Positive attitude. He motivates students to organize and involve in various activities through Training and Placement cell. He has organized many motivational programmes for the staff and students. With persistent efforts, he strives for the development of the institution and guides the staff in accomplishing the vision of being a Centre for technical and academic excellence. In all his activities, he kindles the curiosity of the students to achieve more by their smart work.

He is a lifetime Member of Institute of Engineer (India) and Institute of Marine Engineer.
