Dr. A. Rajesh Kanna, Associate Professor is heading the Department of Petroleum Engineering, Academy of Maritime Education and Training (AMET, a Deemed to be University), Chennai. He has explored various possibilities and enhanced placements for petroleum engineering students. He obtained his bachelor’s degree B.Tech (Petrochemical Technology) from Bharathidasan University Campus, M.Tech specialized in Petroleum Refining and Petrochemicals from A.C Tech, Anna University and Ph.D from prestigious Indian Institute of Technology Madras. He has more than 8 years of teaching experience both in India and Abroad. He has published more than 35 research articles in Scopus Indexed and other reputed journals. He has presented his work in many national and international conferences. He has filed 2 patents. He has travelled to Dubai, France and Ghana. He is member in professional societies like SPE, APG and AMI. He had received best paper awards and he was invited as jury for National and International forums. He is the Faculty Advisor for SPE AMET Student Chapter since April 2022.
