B.E GIS and Ocean Remote Sensing

The B.Tech degree in GIS and Ocean Remote Sensing would provide basic and advanced knowledge on Remote sensing, GIS, GPS, Electronic Surveying, Digital Image Processing, photogrammetry, Cartography, topography, Hydrology and Water Resources, Environmental Engineering, Ocean Engineering, Coastal Management, urban planning and disaster management.

Salient features
Remote sensing and Geological Information systems are the two most important Programmes in the modern technological world. The B.Tech. Programme in GIS and Ocean Remote Sensing is aimed at providing these two Programmes with wider focus. This programme would focus on remote sensing, satellite image analysis, analysis of oceanographic data, GIS and GPS technologies and their applications in various fields such as space research, agriculture, urban planning, survey of natural resources, forestry, ocean and atmospheric sciences etc.

Eligibility Criteria

Qualification  

A Pass in Plus-two (12th Standard) or its equivalent, with minimum 50% Marks for OC and 45% Marks for others aggregate in Maths, Physics and Chemistry group and 50% marks in English from any recognized Board. An aptitude for field work is necessary.
