AMET is establishing a new multidisciplinary Institution in 2023 named AMET Institute of Science and Technology (AIST) in 150 acres of land at Thenpattinam, Chengalpattu District which is in the National Highways of Chennai and Pondicherry. The Centre of Excellence of Maersk and other globally renowned shipping companies like V-Ships, Synergy etc. are going to have their recruited cadets of AMET for various Maritime Programmes and Training at AIST. The candidates who get selected by Synergy through the Cadetship Sponsor program for the Diploma in Nautical Sciences (DNS) August 2023 recruitment drive will study at AMET Institute of Science &Technology - Thenpattinam Campus.

Procedures to be enrolled for Admission and Recruitment drive

• 1. All candidates must duly fill AMET, Fleet Management Limited & IMU Application form.
• 2. Candidates who have submitted applications to AMET, Fleet Management Limited & IMU will only be considered for the Admission and Recruitment Drive.
• 3. Ensure that the same email address is used in the AMET and Fleet Management Ltd Application forms.
• 4. The candidate must also complete the TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language) with a minimum score of 80 before the pre-sea course commencement. If the candidate chooses to clear the test later, they do so at their own risk, as the company requires clearing the exam before considering them for placement.

Fleet Management Limited minimum criteria for selection of DNS candidates:

First round of Deck Cadet Selection process (consisting of MCQ test, interview, and psychometric test) for the August 2024 DNS batch will be conducted in the month of April/May 2024.

The FML minimum criteria for selection of DNS candidates:

• Age : 20 yrs. or less as of 1st July 2024 (Born on or after 1st July 2004).
• 12th cleared in 2023 or 2024 (appearing)
• Not more than 2 years difference in the year of passing 10th and 12th exams respectively.
• Average PCM in 12th Std : Min.70 % (Improvement exam results will not be considered)
• English score in 12th Std : Min.70 % (Improvement exam results will not be considered)
• Candidates who have appeared 12th from Open Board, NIOS board or through Distance learning are not eligible.
• Candidates who have appeared for the exam once are not eligible to re-appear for any subsequent exam conducted by our company.
• Height : Min 160 cms.
• BMI : not more than 25
• No speech deformity
• Eyesight 6/6 without aid & no colour blindness.
