ametunivDean - Students Welfare - Message

Dr.N.R.Ramkumar
Dean - Students Welfare

I welcome all the Cadets / Students of AMET Deemed to be University, Chennai and congratulate them for being a part of AMET Family, which is India’s first Maritime Deemed to be University for maritime-related education, training and research and has spread its wings across India and Abroad. Now, you joined as a Cadet, we are sure, you will become as a Sailor and Responsible Ambassador of AMET as well as India.

The primary aim of the Directorate of the Student Welfare is to make each student feel comfortable and stay safe in AMET. We have been working hard to ensure this goal.

Every Student is unique and we believe our students are the future leaders of our Nation. Hence, DSW provides them with multiple opportunities to grow in this domain- Students can share and contribute their valuable knowledge in the Student Council. They also can participate in various Clubs, Cells, Centres and Committees in order to show their talents and knowledge. DSW provides them with a platform to hone their skills and emerge as better individuals.

At AMET, we believe that co-curricular activities play a key role in the holistic development of learners. Thus, our University is committed to promoting all such activities with an aim to ensure the holistic development of our students.

With the motto of DSW - "Friendly, Fair and Firm", we are always encouraging our students to participate in Co-Curricular and Extra Curricular activities and give them best wishes for their creative endeavours.

At this juncture, I must thank our Management, Honourable Vice Chancellor and Highly Dedicated Team members, who are always on their toes to help the students in the best possible way.
