M.Sc. in Shipping Management (2 Years)
The Master of Science in Shipping Management program is designed for graduates and professionals who seek an in-depth graduate degree education through a flexible or remote learning mode with the aim of building a management career in the maritime sector.
The program teaches the theoretical concepts of the shipping business and equips its learners with the necessary skills needed to survive the competitive industry. It offers a comprehensive understanding of the rudiments of the maritime business particularly on how it operates, by clearly reflecting them in the modules offered, case studies used, and courses practically applied in the program.
It is designed to produce qualified specialists and business-oriented professionals who would pursue a career in prestigious shipping companies as charterers, shipping financiers, and other key members of the operational team by providing activities that would hone their decision-making skills, and by offering courses that would familiarize learners on the current trends and issues in the shipping business.
Eligibility Criteria
In order to be considered for admission in the Online Master of Science in Shipping Business programme.
Minimum Academic Qualifications Required
Undergraduate degree from a recognised higher education institution (accredited University, College) GPA 2.75 and above or equivalent qualification, or a Merchant Marine Academy diploma.
M.Sc. in Marine Engineering Management (2 Years)
This unique degree, the only offered globally under this structure, is addressed both to engineers either with Polytechnic studies (i.e., Naval Architects, Marine and Mechanical engineers, etc), and to graduates from Merchant Marine Academies having basic sea experience (i.e., being certified as competent Chief & 2nd Engineers, but also Masters & Chief Officers), planning their career for next employment in the Technical and Marine Departments of reputable Shipping Companies. (based in Greece and abroad).
All video-based modules are analyzed in series of practical lectures, delivered by renowned Superintendents , and supplemented by cutting edge electronic books and handouts, containing: different check-lists, standard forms, guidances for daily work in the shipping companies, together with very explanatory photos and examples / training cases from series of new-building projects, plus dry-dockings / repairs / conversions of different types and sizes of existing merchant vessels (completed in numerous far-eastern and European shipyards).
