Curriculum

Duration: 2 years

Eligibility:  1.Candidates possessing MOT 1st Class (Motor) Certificate of competency.

2. Candidates possessing UG degree in marine, mechanical, electrical engineering and MOT 2nd Class...(Motor)certificate of competency

3. Candidates with Extra First Class certificate of competency (Due credit will be given for the subjects, if...any, already covered).

Programme Educational Objectives(PEO)

PEO1: Demonstrate their ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment by having learned and applied new skills and new competencies.

PEO2: Obtain an engineering education that prepares them for a responsible position in ship construction, repair and conversion at a shipyard or similar facility, and in ship engineering operations, maintenance and repair in a shipping company. PEO3: Establish themselves as effective professionals by solving real problems through the use of management science knowledge and with attention to team work, effective communication, critical thinking and problem solving skills.

PO1: Apply knowledge of mathematics, science and engineering in their specialization involving complex engineering problems.

PO2: Analyze a problem, identify, formulate and solve engineering problems using basic fundamental Principles of mathematics and science.

PO3: Design a system component or process to meet the desired needs and standards within realistic constraints such as public health and safety, social and environmental considerations.

PO4: Design and conduct experiments, as well as do research, analyze and interpret data and give clear solutions.

PO5: Use and learn the limitations involved in recent techniques, skills and modern engineering tools necessary for engineering practice.

PO6: Assess the local and global impact of engineering solutions on individuals, organization and society and the consequent responsibilities relevant to their professional engineering practice.
